Although fly-fishing has always been at the heart of our Alaskan wilderness adventures, we offer a wide array of activities perfectly suited to break up the fishing week, or offer a family member or spouse an alternative to fishing.
Glacier Tours: Talaheim often persuades even the most avid fly fisherman to take a break from fishing for a picnic on our local glacier. After a spectacular 30 minute helicopter ride through the Alaska Range, explore the ice crevasses and caves before enjoying a panoramic picnic experience.
Day Floats: Take a day to float down the Talachulitna River, or a surrounding river, by raft or portable canoe. Float trips are a very peaceful way to explore the environment and safely sneak up on furry members of Mother Nature. At anytime during the day, pull over to try a great fishing hole, or a swimming hole, or to enjoy a campfire lunch.
Heli-Hiking: In search of a great view? Our helicopters can drop you off on the top of the Beluga Mountains, a perfect destination for a day hike.
Jet Boat Rides: Always a favorite— explore the Talachulitna River from the comfort and safety of our jet boat. Make a stop at any point to hike, fish, picnic or just soak up the incredible scenery.
If you’re interested in any of the above adventures while at Talaheim, let us know prior to your stay so we can plan your personal vacation accordingly.
